vigilius mountain resort

1,500 meters above everyday life lies the vigilius mountain resort – accessible only by cable car from Lana. Even the ride through the treetops is part of the experience, a gentle transition into a world of peace and clarity. Designed by Matteo Thun, the resort is a place where architecture and nature merge seamlessly, where simplicity and sustainability become tangible. Built from natural materials, it embodies the philosophy of a true eco design retreat. The spacious rooms made of wood, glass, and stone open onto balconies and terraces that offer sweeping views of the Dolomites. In the spa, water, warmth, and silence come together – in the infinity pool with panoramic views, the heated outdoor whirlpool, or the sauna area. A place to slow down and reconnect. The two restaurants reflect the connection between origin and vision: Stube Ida offers regional cuisine, while Restaurant 1500 combines international sophistication with a touch of fine dining. Daily activities such as yoga, meditation, and guided hikes invite you to experience the surroundings mindfully and savor the moment. Just minutes from Lana – and yet far from the world. The vigilius mountain resort is more than a hotel: it is a place to arrive, to let go, and to return to. The resort is located 7 km from Merano and a 30-minute drive from Bolzano. Free parking is available at the cable car valley station. Please note the cable car in Lana is the only way to access the hotel. Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time.
