All villas and suites are built according to the local traditional architecture and have been decorated and furnished with hand-picked items, rich fabrics and high quality materials. Amidst the overwhelming, almost audacious natural splendor of Deep Mani, the Bassa Maina complex proudly stands sentinel over the rugged coastline, with its impressive architecture, sophisticated elegance and unobstructed sea vistas. This bouquet of ten amphitheatrically built luxurious villas and suites, with private terraces, unbelievable home-like ambiance, and upscale interior design promises nothing less than an unforgettable stay in this pristine, almost untouched by time, corner of southern Greece. All villas have private entrances, ensuring complete privacy and seclusion, are bathed in natural light, have windows all around, comfortable sitting and dining areas, beautiful, ultra-modern bathrooms, and fully equipped kitchenettes. Everything, from linen to decoration, and from lights to fabrics and colour schemes, has been carefully selected and meticulously designed to create a warm, hospitable environment and inspire a deep sense of relaxation, regardless of time of year. The Rugged Indelible Beauty of Mani There is something reassuringly solid, yet disarmingly contradictory about Mani. This entire southern Peloponnese region juts out into the Mediterranean, almost achingly yearning to break free, capturing soul and mind with its untamed, indelible beauty and undeniable allure. The snow-capped peaks of Mount Taygetus, the austere local architecture with the fortress-like tower houses, and the rocky, almost barren land build visual tension, but the soporific union of the infinite horizon separating the baby blue skies from the cobalt waters appeases all senses. Bassa Maina is located in the middle of the three peninsulas of southern Peloponnese – the Mani peninsula, which is also known by its Medieval name Maina. This mountainous region is incredibly beautiful, with its sleepy fishing coves, fortified villages, emerald waters, and captivating sunsets creating a gasp-inducing backdrop. The complex is amphitheatrically built on a five acres plot overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Its exemplary architecture and almost whimsical interior design are truly impressive, while its location in a rural, almost untouched by time, area of Inner Mani surely ensures seclusion and privacy, and makes it an ideal year-round destination.
